Carnegie’s new search feature has been redesigned to provide smarter and more intuitive tools to help you find the content that interests you quickly and easily.

On any page, click on the “Narrow by” button next to the site search keyword field to reveal a menu of filter choices based on issues and regions tagged to Carnegie’s publications and other online content.

Check the boxes of any combination of issues and regions to limit your search to just those documents related to the selected topics. (You can add and remove these filters later.)

Click the “Search” button to submit your search.

The search results dashboard is a comprehensive summary of your search query — a quick glance provides count and display information, sorting and filtering criteria plus tools to modify each.

Use the sorting tabs to customize the display by date and relevance OR view biographies of relevent Carnegie experts. Review applied filters for issue and region relationships, type of publication or event, and publication date. Remove any fiter by clicking on its listing to automatically refresh your results based on the new criteria. Add additional filters from lists presented to the right (see inset).

Every document returned in search results provides one-click access to every available online resource related to that document.

Whenever available, search results provide links to the specific document, a list of most recent documents of the same type, biographies of Carnegie authors or participants, video, audio, transcripts and other supporting documents, and related issues and regions. The context menu provides a link directly to the first instance of your search term in the document.
